Patterns that keep showing up
Across the 30 Indonesian picks, these five show up most:
- Headline on top, device below. Almost every set uses this arrangement, for example DANA, tiket.com and Fore. The headline is short and names the benefit.
- One colour family for the whole set. Bibit is green, Bank Jago orange, Access by KAI purple. At a glance it reads as one app.
- The first screenshot is different from the rest. Gojek, Bukalapak and Kopi Kenangan open with a brand poster. Tokopedia and Traveloka open with the promotion running at the time.
- Part of the screen is enlarged outside the device. GoPay, Bank Jago and tiket.com lift one card or row so it can be read at small size.
- Numbers and the word "free" in the headline. "Gratis ongkir", "30 menit sampai", "Transfer selalu gratis". Common on the App Store, but Google Play advises screenshots without prices and promotions, so prepare another version for Play.
Some of these apps still use English text on the Indonesian App Store. If your users are Indonesian, localising your screenshots is usually worth it.
